Magic: A word for any event or object that is perfectly logical, but is beyond the limits of human comprehension.
If this ever happened, there is a perfectly good explanation for light coming from a piece of wood when Daniel Radcliffe says some words. The thing is that people just can't explain it. I bet even with some extensive research, an explanation could be derived. The term "magic" was invented because humans needed a way to label things that they didn't understand, and therefore were too lazy to figure out. They needed a word for these events because they were too ignorant and stubborn. They see something that must be "impossible" and they say it must be magic. They denounce it as something on their level of understanding by saying that one word can explain it all and excuse any reasoning, because they are too selfish to say that there might be something that is above their level of understanding. It must be "impossible". But it's obviously not, because it's happening.
The point of this is, the word "religion" has an astoundingly similar meaning to "magic". Religion is a series of absurd, impossible explanations for something that is beyond human understanding. The Greeks thought that the Sun was pulled across the sky in a wagon. This of course is completely ridiculous. The Sun is a big, fiery ball of gasses in space, which our planet revolves around. The Greeks thought up a ridiculous explanation for the Sun because they had no way of knowing the truth, and it was completely beyond their understanding. This is exactly what any religion does today. It makes up insane explanations for death and whatnot, because it's completely beyond their understanding. People just need to except that we don't know everything. Before you get to that though, you need to stop saying that since we don't know what something is, we're going to make up some crazy other explanation and say that's real. People invent heaven because they are afraid and ignorant, and then they force this made-up explanation as truth. The tow main reasons people join a religions are either because they want to believe in something that will make them more comfortable in times of peril, so it's just being called real out necessity, not fact, or people are forced to join by power-hungry extremists.
This sort of behavior has led to countless wars, slaughterings, and genocides based on a made-up fact that people are too stubborn to give up. We are killing ourselves over nothing. While these killings are far less frequent today, animosity and hatred are still spawned by such ludicrous ideas.
